Here at ABC Skip Bins customer satisfaction is our number one priority. We find that when people hire a skip bin from us, they may have questions about our service.

We have put together a list of questions that we get asked frequently.  Giving you a better idea of what you can do with your skip bin hire on the Gold Coast.

All of our bins are measured in cubic metres. Cubic metres are used to measure volume, not just the length or width. Calculating cubic metres is simple if you have the formula.
Cubic Volume (m³) = Length(m) x Width(m) x Height(m)

The little ³ symbol shows that you are using 3 different measurements to get the volume. Don’t be concerned if your pile is 6m long x 1m wide x 0.5m high and you end up with a total cubic volume of 3m³. Although your pile is in fact 6m long, there is only 3m³ in this example.

You can use our online quoting and booking system which is located on the top right of every page on our website. If you fall into our service area, you’ll be able to choose the type of waste you need to load into the bin, and the size of the skip you want. Once you have made your selection you can submit your order online. If you need to arrange council permits or discuss the waste you need to remove give us a call on 1800 503 467. Our office hours are Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 4:00pm and Saturday, 6:30am to 11:30am.

We allow customers to use our bins for between 1 and 3 days. Extra time can be arranged, please ask and we will do our best to help you.

So long as you are ordering the skip bin early in the day, we may be able to get the bin to you later the very same day. If you do want to guarantee getting the right bin at the right time then you should book at least one full business day ahead of time, particularly during Summer when bins have a high demand.

If you need to use our bins for tyres or mattresses then we will need to add a surcharge.

Car tyres are charged at $20.00 each Mattresses are charged at $50.00 each

We offer a range of payment options and payment is due on the delivery of the bin to your site. You can use cash, credit card or electronic funds transfer to pay for your bin hire. If you are booking online you will need to prepay via Pay Pal or by credit card.*Any online payment or electronic funds transfer must be received before bins will be delivered.

No. For safety reasons to our staff and the general public, the bin can not be any higher then the top.

Yes, we provide bins for asbestos removal. Note: we solely provide the bins, it is your responsibility to handle the asbestos.

We are unable to accept all waste types. You must also choose the appropriate bin for your waste. We do accept most waste but some examples of waste we do not accept are;Oil Tins of Liquid Pain Gas Bottles Asbestos Chemical Waste in Solid, Liquid or Powder form (This includes garden and household chemicals).
Whenever a skip bin is placed onto Council property we are required to obtain a Council Permit from the relevant Council. We will arrange the permit on your behalf and carry out the insurance required. Permit costs do vary across the different councils, you will need to call us on 1800 503 467 to find out more. Some examples of Council property include;Nature Strips Roads If you are unsure whether your skip bin will be on council property, give us a call on 1800 503 467.

Typically we will meet your specified times by supplying a two hour windows for delivery. This accounts for any traffic hold ups and other bookings that come up. During busier periods we may need to allow up to three hours but we will let you know in advance where we can.

All waste is taken back to our transfer station where we recycle as much as possible. The remainder of the waste is sorted for transfer to other sites. There are materials that will be deemed as non-recyclable and in this case, these items will end up as landfill.
